Bermondsey Beer Mile
London Bermondsey Beermile
In London Bermondsey, just right from Tower Bridge is the Beermondsey Beermile. With the emergence of Kernel Brewery in one of the train arches on Maltby Market a development started that would soon become the Bermondsey beer mile. Since then many breweries have been added, some lost and some just moved within the beermile.

More East

01 Southwark brewery
Their speciality is a focus on traditional Cask Ales. They have keg beer too, tough. My favourite here is the Red Ale.
02 KANPAI Sake place
We are not fuzzy here, they make japanese style Sake and not beer, so what.
The small portions of food are great for a beer tour. Cauliflower!
03 The Barrel Project
Beer in barrels, wine barrels to be clear. This gives the beer a special taste. A distinct taste.
Their second brand LBF serves more classic beer styles.

04 Jensens Gin Parlour
Gin, they make gin. Still counts. It’s alcohol.
05 Hiver
Honey beer. Not Met. Honey beer.
06 Ansbach & Hopday
Home of the London Black and provider of two dedicated ladies loes.
07 gosnells
Met, not beer. It’s an old style of drink based on honey. Delishious.
08 Bianca Road brewery
Bianca Road is actually a few streets down the road. But they make good beer and in summer you can sit in the full sun.
03 Mashpaddle Brewery
Brew your own beer. Or try one from the brewer.
10 Kernel brewery
The first, the Ur-brewery. Originally located on Maltbey market..
11 Spartan brewery
TODO: Visit again ;-)
12 Battersea brewery
The Battersea brewery is obviously not from Bermondsey but from Battersea. But they make good beer, brew also under the train arches albeit next to Battersea Power station but we let that count.
13 Fourpour
This one is a bit hidden in an industrial estate but well worth visiting.
If you are hungry, there is a Sushi place on the way into the estate.
14 Small Beer Brewery
The story for Small Beer goes like this. You know that drinking beer dehydrates you. The limit of alcohol from where dehydration starts is around 3%. The Small Beer has around 2.5% alcohol.
This beer hydrates you. Exactly what you need at the end (or start?) of the beermile.
The bottles are also small, hence the name.
