London Beermiles
Craft beer drinkers delight since 2011 (v.041)
Note: this is not even a draft version
In short time you will see here a a lot of info about the London beermiles. Soon, really.
The Bermondsey beermile
The one and only, first of it’s name. Has not only breweries but also a few odd ones out like Sake, Gin, Met Sprinkled in are also some taprooms with a wider range of beer.
Because it is a little less obvios in Bermondsey everyone who predominantly sells their own products is considered a brewery. Some breweries move around but they are still breweries, here anyway.
Along the train arches in Bermondsey are not only breweries and taprooms but also:
Maltbey market
Food, food, food for the brewery tour.
small shops
Let’s call them small shops. Under the train arches or directly nearby are sprinkled in a lot of shops. Some basically selling out of their warehouse. You can quite as well combine the brewery tour with a bit of grocery shopping. Or just a small bite on the way.
You find: Groceries, international shops, youghurt maker, beekeeper, coffee roaster, an ice cream maker, etc.
Transport
- London Bridge, Tower Hill, Bermondsey train and tube stations for the one side of the mile.
- Surray Quays Overground and South Bermondsey train station for the other side.
- TfL rental bike stations are near Druid Street and Enid Street.
The Blackhorse beer mile
The second addition to the London beermile scene. Six breweries and yes, a winery, in London.
Transport
